Effect of vitrification on GJIC in COCs during in vitro maturation. GJIC was measured in COCs after 4, 8, 22, and 44 h of culture by quantitative RFI. Lines were drawn through the COCs optical sections generated by the confocal microscope. Carbenoxolone was used as a positive control of GJIC blockage. The RFI values were converted to a scale of 1–100 for graphic representation. After cryoprotectants exposure (toxicity) and vitrification, GJIC decreased at 4 and 8 h of culture.
